"You are all great"

About: Community LD Teams (Newry & Mourne)

(as a staff member posting for a carer/relative),

Call out to administer Insulin earlier in the morning to my daughter to get her medication and eat her breakfast before transport arrives to attend the day centre, which she really enjoys and couldn't attend before as she need to get her insulin.

I think you are all great, and nothing is too much trouble.  You have really made a difference as it wasn't easy to look after my daughter.  I can't thank you enough, particularly Nurse Hughes, as she helped get a grant for a new bed for my daughter and she keeps me in check about respite.

The team have a great deal of experience in supporting individuals with a range of health related interventions. They offer advice and develop specific plans of care for adults with a learning disability and their families/ carers, whilst promoting their independence and inclusion within the community.

Thank you for your kind comments and for highlighting the role of Nurse Hughes in providing a person centred service.
