I had to urgently take my husband to A&E at Hairmyers hospital on Saturday night due to a twisted bowel. He was in extreme pain to the point where he was crying out and continuously vomiting.
Within minutes of checking in , the staff in A&E brought him through to administer IV pain relief and anti-emetic drugs.
This helped massively however his condition would continuously worsen whenever this wore off. The nurses and clinical support were absolutely fantastic. They were really attentive, checking on him regularly, he would only just start to feel sore again and they would be there ready to administer more medication.
My husband was not at his best due to the pain but he praised the care the staff had provided later and was really grateful to everyone.
"Great care in A&E"
