"Nothing was too much trouble for her"

About: Grantham & District Hospital / General surgery

(as the patient),

As I walked into the surgical ward floor 2 of Grantham Hospital I was greeted by Shelley who said she’d be looking after me! And she did! Kept me informed about what was happening, going to happen etc. She escorted me down to surgery, and although I can’t remember much - she was there when I came round! Nothing was too much trouble for her. She loves her job and it shows! You’ve got a good one there NHS. Thank you so much Shelley.

Dear Gallstrike

Thank you so much for your really kind words and Shelley will be so thrilled to be mentioned personally.

It’s such a morale boost for the staff when care opinion print such an amazing journey with us.

It's such an anxious time and I will share with theatres as well, as the staff try so hard to make patients feel comfortable and safe.

I hope you are recovering well

Take care

Kr

Julie
