"A nice start of my day"

About: Community Services - North Devon / Community Rehabilitation

(as a service user),

Back at the end of July, I had a fall and went to A&E. They found that a piece of bone had chipped in my hip area. Because of that, I have been having physiotherapy.

Bukola, the physiotherapist who has been coming out to see me, has been very kind. The exercises she has been doing with me, I have found useful to some extent. They were not entirely pain free, but I do feel they have helped me. She has been very good, and I am happy to leave this feedback for her. This is the least I can do for her, as she has been helping me a lot.

I am still waiting for a re-appointment back with Orthopaedics at Barnstaple. I have not heard yet, but I just wanted to do this feedback for her until as she keeps an eye on this re-appointment too.

She always comes with a big smile on her face to see me and is very friendly. She doesn’t have to ask about my husband, but she always does, and it means a lot to me. She knows he is the one who looks after me, and it’s nice that she also makes sure he is doing alright too. It really makes a nice start to my day.

Many thanks for taking time to provide feedback about your input from the Bideford Community Rehab Team and especially your physiotherapist Bukola.

I am sorry to hear about your fall and hip injury, this must have been very distressing. I am pleased your pain is slowly improving with time and Bukola's exercises. It is lovely to hear that the friendly support Bukola has provided you and your husband has given you reassurance and comfort. I will pass on your kind words to her and the rest of the team.

I hope you do not have much longer to wait for your orthopaedic appointment and they can give you reassurance that everything is healing.

Kind regards,

Susan
