"I have severe osteoporosis"

About: Kettering General Hospital / Rheumatology

(as the patient),

I have been injecting with teraparatide for 2 years up until early September 2025.  Nobody from KGH has been in touch in the whole time.  Lloyds Clinical said someone from Rheumatology would be in touch.  Now I find out I need a Dexa scan urgently, and also an infusion of a drug to stop losing all the teraparatide in my bones, no later than 6 week from the date of the last injection.  Now I have been in touch with gp who happens to be away for a month.  My on duty doctor at my surgery is trying to contact Rheumatology to arrange the scan and infusion.  I won't hold my breath.

Dear Patient,

We are sorry to hear about your experience around your treatment with Rheumatology Team. Can I ask that you contact the PAL's team at KGH who will be able to support you with you with contacting Rheumatology. This way the Rheumatology team will be able to support you with the booking of your Dexa Scan.

Here are the PAL's team contact details

Tel: 01536 493305 Email: kgh-tr.PALS@nhs.net

Many Thanks

Amanda McQueenie
