My husband was referred to Bolton hospital for a tooth extraction, by his own dentist, due to complex medical conditions that needed oxygen throughout the procedure, because he cannot be sedated, or given anaesthetic.
He was worried sick about his breathing problems and the fact that he would be lay back for the procedure, thus causing him many sleepless nights but then the day of the procedure came, and we attended the hospital, my husband was visibly shaking, when he went into the treatment room, but 10 minutes later I was called into the room to take him home! It was all done, and he was sat up on the bed telling me how fantastic the whole team had been!
They had given him oxygen all the way through, didn't lie him flat down, and the doctor who performed the procedure, had talked him all through the extraction. He didn't even feel the injection! He said every member of that team, had treated him with respect and empathy, and he would never be bothered about going to them again if he ever needs to. So, a massive thank you to the team at Bolton dental department, you're the best!!!
