"Staff kept him calm and at ease"

About: Royal Aberdeen Children's Hospital / Paediatric Assessment Unit (Children's Assessment Unit) Royal Aberdeen Children's Hospital / Surgical Paediatrics (Children's Surgery)

(as a parent/guardian),

My 11 year old son was admitted promptly to the Paediatric Assessment Unit RACH after an urgent phonecall by the GP where we were met by friendly and competent staff. He went to theatre 2 hours later where the staff kept him calm and at ease. From Recovery he was transferred to the surgical ward where the surgeon explained everything and the staff made it a good hospital experience. Thanks very much to all involved in his care, he is doing well.

Thank you so much for leaving this positive feedback. It really does make a big difference to staff when they get compliments like this. I am delighted that your experience of care for your family was such a good one and hope that your son is recovering well. If you are happy to let me know via e-mail (sue.danby@nhs.scot) what your son's name and DOB is I can ensure this feedback goes directly to the staff who cared for him

Kind Regards

Sue Danby
