On a Monday recently my aunt was admitted to hospital, and I was first told she had gone for an X-ray. By the time I arrived she had already been moved, and after speaking with a few staff members I found she had been transferred to Ambulatory Care.
I want to highlight the wonderful nursing and health care support team in Ambulatory Care. They went out of their way to make what was a stressful day that little bit easier. Even though they were clearly very busy, they took the time to welcome us and kindly allowed us a few minutes to visit my aunt before the protected visiting hours began.
Those few minutes gave us the chance to check on her and sort out the things she needed, which made everything feel a little less overwhelming.
I’m very grateful to the Ambulatory Care team for their kindness and understanding. Their thoughtfulness and willingness to help really stood out and made such a positive difference.
