I have attended a 8 week session with the ADHD service east ren team.
The group felt safe and made me feel I could share my opinions. I liked the group format as it allowed people to share there opinions and what they have found useful. The two hosts were also very insightful and welcoming.
The course content in itself was very useful. I particularly found the sections of sense management insightful. I will be using these insights and techniques for years to come!
Something I would suggest is if there could maybe be a final session in which we can follow up with our "homework" that would be great. That would let us deal with the content in our own time and consolidate it in our own lives.
One other thing. I was diagnosed in April 2024 and I got onto the course more than a year later. It would be great if this course had more resources so that this waiting time could be shorter. I was always drawn to this over medication (which was supplied quickly after diagnosis) and it would have been great to have it then.
Overall very good, I would recommend this course to anyone with ADHD.
