About: New Victoria Hospital / Day surgery

(as the patient),

I recently attended day surgery at the Vic ACH for gallbladder removal. The staff from beginning to end were amazing. Attentive, caring, kind and special shout to staff nurse Laura who kept a close eye on me and the other patients to make sure we were comfortable and well. She knew when I was struggling with pain post op, without me even having to say (I didn't want to make a fuss but so grateful for her amazing nursing instinct!).

The surgeon & anaesthetist made me feel at ease throughout it all and HCA made the best tea and toast. After a bad experience at another hospital, I was very nervous and so relieved that I got nothing but the best care! Thank you to everyone that day for looking after me.

Many thanks for taking the time to write a care opinion review. It sounds like you had an incredibly positive experience at our unit whilst being a patient. It’s wonderful to hear that the staff, especially Laura that you mention by name, provided such attentive and compassionate care. The staffs ability to meet your needs and keep you comfortable is a testament to the standards of care we aim to deliver every day.

It’s great to know that, despite your previous experience at another hospital, you felt at ease and well cared for this time around. Thank you for sharing your appreciation for everyone involved in your care; it truly makes a difference!
