"Review of Medical Services"

I wanted to highlight an excellent example of care received, provided by Alvin in Cardiology Outpatients. He treated my mother with pacemaker failure, displaying immense thoughtful competence, patience, respect, thoroughness and professionalism. At the same time he was teaching a medical student. he gave my mother a really valuable evaluation, culminating in resetting the pacemaker without need for further intervention and then organised an immediate chest x-ray for extra reassurance. During his deliberations he was also not afraid to run his technical considerations past another colleague, and was obviously extremely pleasant with another junior colleague who helped with the scanner printer. All in all - a very professional and impressive consultation, witnessed by someone who has some medical/customer service background and knows what makes for a really good experience for their patients. Anyone concerned about an elderly relative would have been very appreciative of the type of care he provided.
