"Very comforting and reassuring"

I recently attended with my teenage daughter for her blood appointment as she has suffered fainting in the past and gets very anxious when attending. Her appointment was with Danielle, she called my daughter’s  name and invited us both into the room. 

Danielle confirmed my daughter’s date of birth and also checked that my daughter was happy enough for Danielle to speak in front of me (due to her age) which I greatly appreciated giving her that option and didn’t just expect this to be ok.

Danielle was very comforting and reassuring during the whole appointment and also told my daughter she had snacks and water there as a precaution for every patient who may feel faint and that it’s very common not to worry if this happens. My daughter really liked her she was laughing and making jokes about resting her arm and not being able to tidy up for the rest of the day, this made us both giggle she really was a pleasant distraction.

The app was over and done with and my daughter walked out with a smile on her face with no fainting episode! I think she has just made her next blood appointments that little less fearful.
