"The whole thing was so easy"

About: Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital (Wonford) / Gynaecology

(as the patient),

I was seen recently for a diagnostic hysteroscopy, due to some unscheduled bleeding. I had my Mirena refitted at the same time.

Ed, nurse Caroline, PA Beth and their HCA were just Fabulous! Kind, caring, experts in their field and made me feel comfortable and like a friend! We even had a laugh! The whole thing was so easy, virtually pain free ( I did take pain relief an hour before) and was over very quickly.

I left feeling great, relieved it was over, and no obvious pathology found. I await biopsy results in due course, but know with this team behind me, I'll be well looked after, no matter the outcome!

Thank you Ed and team!

Good Morning Smiler06,

Thank you so much for your lovely feedback, its really good to hear that you had such a positive experience for your hysteroscopy. It sounds that the team made you feel really comfortable with their kind and caring manner. Well done to you for remembering to take some pain relief an hour prior to the procedure, the fact your pain was so well managed really reinforces the importance of this.

I will feedback your kind words to the team.

Best wishes

Emma Saunders
