"The reassurance I received gave me strength"

About: Six Degrees Social Enterprise (CIC) / Greater Manchester Bereavement Service

(as the patient),

I found the support from GMBS to be the main source I relied upon in the early weeks and felt heard from the very first call. The person I spoke to got to know me over the three months and I found her support helpful to reflect on in between calls as well as during them. The care is genuine and validation of my feelings and emotions was recognised throughout the process. The reassurance I received gave me strength. I was very emotional on many of the calls but was given time and advice as to other support services that may be able to help now or in the future. I cannot praise GMBS enough in the support provided and am incredibly grateful for it. You do a vital job especially in early days when there can be so much confusion and chaos to navigate. I would highly recommend the service offered and not sure how I would have managed without it. Thank you

Thank you for taking the time to leave our service some feedback.

We are glad to hear that the practitioner you worked with gave you the space and time to work though your thoughts and feelings and you had the space to reflected on your own process during and outside the calls. We are happy to hear that you felt you had support from the beginning so you could work though the confusion and chaos you were experiencing in those first days. We are also glad that you found the signposting for other support options helpful for when you feel ready for further support.

Thank you again for sharing this feedback and please take care.

The Greater Manchester Bereavement service.
