"High Quaulity care"

About: Royal Alexandra Hospital / General Surgery (wards 19, 20, 24, 26 &29)

(as the patient),

I was admitted through A&E to ward 20.

Put in to small 6 bedded ward.

I wish to highlight the outstanding care I received. In the ward 6 laddies all lovely.

Consultant Mr McGooie would do his ward round in the morning before list and in the evening.  The only fault is there is no privacy visitors, in fact everyone can hear, but I fully understand there nowhere for a private chat with a family. You're hearing the bad news been broken . That is sadly what took place.

I wish to mention one Nurse in particular, Ryan

He was so caring  compassionate, professional went above and beyond he gave care to a very sick patient at all times giving dignity.

There was a lot of nurses came and went during my stay I am sure some were managers .

I know I am not everyone’s cup tea but I required medical care needed hospital.

I just wished to thank each and every one of staff.

I hope I did not trouble you too much

Dear Lindsay925,

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience following your admission to Ward 20. I’m truly pleased to hear that you received outstanding care during your stay, and that the team—especially the six ladies on the ward—made a positive impression.

Your kind words about Mr Macgoey and his dedication to ward rounds both morning and evening are greatly appreciated.

We also acknowledge your feedback regarding the lack of privacy and understand how difficult it can be to overhear sensitive conversations. Your understanding of the limitations is gracious, and we will continue to explore ways to improve this aspect of care.

A special thank you for highlighting Nurse Ryan’s compassionate and professional care. It means a great deal to our staff when their efforts are recognised, and we will ensure Ryan and the wider team are made aware of your appreciation.

Please rest assured that you were never a trouble to us. You required care, and we were privileged to support you during that time. Your gratitude to every member of staff is deeply valued.

Wishing you continued recovery and good health.

Warm regards,
Pamela McQuarrie
