"Knowledge of individual people, and accessibility"

About: Streatfield Health Centre

(as a service user),

Got a text to do a questionnaire about my lifestyle to help know which support I might need. It’s very generic asking my weight and how often I exercise. It tells no one anything about my neurodivergence, unknown for forty years, that has caused me huge stress in trying to keep up and fit in without understanding my brain and nervous system. It has resulted in chronic fatigue and I also have back pain, and more eg hands, and probably hypermobility that again the NHS does not see in its limited diagnostic criteria. These all hugely affect exercising and weight. I’m not here to waste my time ticking boxes for the NHS and govt agenda of making us all slimmer with the same advice. My practice no longer has a direct feedback form I can type in, asking me to call or visit. I’m autistic, fatigued, and can hardly walk down the road. Great accessibility in 2025. I look forward to this being ignored, as usual.
