"Care when having a heart attack"

About: East Midlands Ambulance Service NHS Trust / Emergency ambulance Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust - City Campus / Cardiology

(as the patient),

I had a heart attack, my son called for the ambulance thinking it was something else but turns out I was having a heart attack. Amazing from start to finish, ambulance crew were completely brilliant and when I got to city hospital Nottingham the cardiac team put stents in and then I was cared for by the cardiac ward who were again amazing. I can’t thank all the team enough for the quick thinking, professional manner and high quality care. The aftercare team were brilliant this morning when I called for some advice. Thank you so much you all saved my life and I will be forever grateful

Dear Patient,

Thank you for sharing this feedback regarding your care in our hospitals

I am so pleased to hear that the teams were able to quickly recognise the seriousness of your condition and act so quickly and effectively.

I will pass this wonderful feedback on to the matron so that she can share it with her teams.

May we take this opportunity to wish you all the best on your continued recovery following on from your heart attack.

Kind regards,

Kelly – Patient Experience Officer.
