Two weeks ago I experienced an acute episode of urinary retention and bladder infection. I didn’t expect any help as it was a Sunday but was delighted to be attended by Louise from the Hospital@Home team. She was reassuring, very professional & very caring. I couldn’t have wished for better care at that point. I was fitted with a catheter for the first time in my life so the quality of care & communication was important in helping reassure me that I was in good hands. The follow up with Penny from the same team was just as impressive as was care from the district nurse who also attended to me in the first week.
I am very impressed by the overall experience & pleased that care could be delivered at home rather than put more pressure on the local hospital services. A very big thank you for all involved. I am writing this having just had the catheter taken out & happy to report all is well. 😊🙏
