"Listened and showed a lot of empathy"

About: St Johns Hospice / St John’s counselling

(as a service user),

In a short space of time I lost 2 family members, and struggled with not feeling like I had a purpose. I contact the counselling service through the hospice and was able to talk about my feelings which does help and I would recommend to anyone. Jo was wonderful she listened and showed a lot of empathy and although I have finished my sessions she made sure I knew I could contact them again if I needed further support

First of all, can I say how sorry I am that you experienced 2 significant losses in such a short space of time, this must have been an extremely difficult time for you. I am so pleased you accessed the counselling and had a positive experience where you were able to process your thoughts, feelings and emotions in relation to your grief during this painful period of time. Thank you so much for your positive feedback which I will pass onto your counsellor Jo.

Take care

Kerry Griffiths
