I recently had to visit Borders General Hospital while on holiday at the beginning of August.
Naturally, I was quite nervous, as my doctor back home in London had informed me of the potential risk of developing a syndrome that could cause paralysis.
I am pleased to share that my experience in the A&E department was remarkably positive. The wait to be seen was the shortest I have ever experienced in my ten years of frequent dealings with the NHS.
Shortly after arriving, I was attended to by Dr. Neagoie, who throughout my time there, made me feel completely at ease and assured that I was in safe hands. It is rare in my experience over the past decade to encounter a doctor who demonstrates such professionalism and genuine care.
Dr. Neagoie’s approach left me feeling truly looked after, which was a comforting and uplifting experience. Even after my discharge, Dr. Neagoie kindly rang me to check on my condition and inquire if I was still experiencing symptoms. I am incredibly grateful for his kindness, attentiveness, and the clear communication regarding my health. This positive experience has renewed my hope that, despite previous challenges, it is still possible to feel heard and cared for as a patient within the NHS.
Thank you once again for the excellent care provided.
Take care.
