"The team were excellent"

About: Belfast City Hospital / Endoscopy Unit

(as a relative),

My elderly mother had to undergo a routine endoscopy recently. The team right from the beginning were excellent. The nurse Rosy who took all the details and got her prepped was so caring. My mam said the team who carried out the procedure were kind, checking in with her constantly to make sure she was ok.

Afterwards I asked to speak to one of the team to see how it went, given that my mam needs someone else with her, and there was no issue at all, they detailed how the procedure had went and any findings. I would heap praise on the team ... My mother was treated so well, with kindness and respect.

Hi normarx69,

Thank you for taking the time to leave such lovely feedback on your mothers recent visit to the Endoscopy Unit. Our whole team work together to treat each individual with safe, effective, compassionate, person centred care and I'm so glad you and your mum felt that during your visit. Hopefully it helped put your mother at ease a little and made the process a little less daunting for her.

I will be sure to pass your message of thanks onto the rest of the team and to Rosie. I wish your mother well in her recovery and thank you again for your feedback.

Donna Irwin

Interim Ward Manager, BCH Endoscopy Unit
