"Excellent care received"

About: The Ulster Hospital / Urgent Care Centre

(as a relative),

My partner fell and hit the back of his head causing a 1inch laceration.

We checked in at the Ulster Hospital, Urgent Care Unit, for minor injuries, at noon and were told that our wait could be approximately 2hrs. We were called for triage within 5mins and seen by a lovely member of staff called Conor. We came back out to the waiting area to wait to be called for treatment.

We were called around 12:45pm and seen by another member of staff who was just so friendly and made us feel at ease. The wound was cleaned and required 4 x staples. My partner's hair had to be cut and we joked with the member of staff about his hairdressing skills.

We were discharged and driving home by 1:15pm. I cannot praise the staff and care we received highly enough. Thank you everyone.

Hi C4cat

Thank you for taking the time to tell us of your partner's experience when he attended the Urgent Care Centre following his fall. It is good to hear your partner had a positive experience in both his interactions with staff and his experience. I will share your comments with the staff who will very much appreciate them. Maybe they will take up a side line in hairdressing following this!

Best wishes in his ongoing recovery.

Kind Regards

Jenny
