"Care provided"

About: Glasgow Royal Infirmary / Medical HDU (Ward 44) Glasgow Royal Infirmary / Respiratory Medicine (Wards 2, 6,7 10 & 16)

(as the patient),

Got transfered from HDU to ward 7/ 16. The staff in both wards were to be commended.  All staff were hard working and never had 5 minutes to themselves.  They would pass by and stop if you needed help or maybe just ask if you were ok.  Some patients needed more help than others, yet, somehow, the staff managed to ensure the care provided to every patient was provided and ensured the safety and well-being of all was the priority.  Can only give the biggest thank you to all staff for the care I received when I was a patient recently.

Nursing was fabulous. That was the same from lowest to highest paid. My treatment was provide with care and attention always; Thank you to the nurse who managed to get my home prescription sorted.

Big praise to NHS which has to be the greatest of all provisions of health at the first point of contact.  Well done Mr Bevan !!

Dear Arieslola25

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your recent experience following your transfer from HDU to Ward 7/16. We are truly heartened to read your kind and thoughtful words.

It’s incredibly rewarding to hear that the dedication, professionalism, and compassion of our staff had such a positive impact on your care. We know how demanding healthcare environments can be, and it's a testament to our teams that they continue to deliver high-quality, patient-centred care—even in the busiest of times.

Your comments about the nursing staff, from all roles and bands, will mean a great deal to them. We will ensure your feedback is shared with the teams in both wards, including the nurse who supported you with your prescription. Recognition like yours is so encouraging and reminds us all why we do what we do.

Wishing you continued recovery and good health.

Kind regards

Kevin
