"From the moment I met her, I felt supported and comfortable"

About: Perth Royal Infirmary / Community Midwifery Unit

(as a service user),

For three years we suffered from recurring miscarriages. On our eighth pregnancy, we were given progesterone to try to prevent another loss. This worked for us, and I was quickly assigned Eilidh as my midwife. From the moment I met her, I felt supported and comfortable. She understood what was going on in my head and helped ease the anxiety and stress of navigating the pregnancy. The pregnancy was high risk and there were a lot of hospital visits. We then welcomed a beautiful baby boy. Two years later, we began the journey again, and I asked if Eilidh could be my midwife again, which was accepted. This pregnancy was night and day compared to the first. Eilidh was amazing again, constantly reassuring me and putting me at ease. She’s just discharged me recently after visiting us for the last time, and I will really miss seeing her. The service I received has been amazing, and I will always sing her praises. When Eilidh wasn’t able to visit me, the other midwives who came out were also fantastic, so caring and full of knowledge.

Thank you so much for helping me deliver two healthy and happy babies. I will forever be grateful.

Hello Freddie123

Congratulations on the birth of your beautiful baby.

We are so pleased that you had such an enjoyable and supported pregnancy with your named midwife Eilidh. We know how important continuity of care is and why we value it so much. Hearing you describe the relationship you had with your named midwife Eilidh, and how Eilidh understood and eased your anxiety, really does emphasise the importance of building a good relationship. We really do strive to give the best care possible and appreciate you taking the time to share such kind and positive feedback.

We will share your feedback with Eilidh and the wider team.

We hope you are enjoying your early days with your baby and family.

Best wishes
