"Very caring, good communication"

About: Victoria Hospital / Trauma & orthopaedics Victoria Hospital / Urgent Care Centre

(as the patient),

I fell off a ladder cutting down a tree in my neighbour’s garden and was admitted to the Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy.

The level of care, cleanliness and sense of team commitment by the staff was outstanding. It was a busy ward but they all had time for you. They listened to what you said and chatted about the next day, made you feel like a human rather than a number in bed.

Very caring, good communication. If you asked a question they found answers for you. And they still smiled when they brought you a bedpan anytime of the night

Dear Juju78,

Thank you for taking the time to provide this positive feedback about your stay in ward 33. We are a very busy ward and team who strive to do our utmost best. I am glad the staff made you feel comfortable and attentive, they really do work hard which is positive to hear. It is a great boost for staff morale when we receive this kind of feedback like yours.

I hope you are recovering well and no longer climbing trees. I will be sure to pass this on to our team.

Take care,

Leigh Fotheringham
