"Attending a pre-operative education session"

Received a letter and text inviting me to attend a pre-operative education session at Royal Wolverhampton Trust Education Academy, Cannock Chase Hospital. 

The session lasted around 2.5 hours. It was well run and very informative. The two lead nurses (Kirsty and Sian) were excellent and allowed everyone to be able to ask any questions about the knee replacement surgery the session was for. At the end of the session everyone was measured by the Physiotherapists and supplied with elbow crutches, and shown how to use them and climb up steps. The session put a lot of people at ease knowing what to expect and what the operation involves and the recovery times.
