"I am so grateful for this service"

About: Psychological therapies / Maternity and Neonatal Psychological Intervention Services (MNPI)

(as the patient),

I attended the Maternity and neonatal psychological intervention service after experiencing birth trauma at Perth Midwifery Led Unit in January this year. I was transferred in a blue light ambulance to Dundee during labour thinking I had lost my baby. I am so grateful for this service in helping me get through a difficult period of time in my life. It has helped me to feel well again mentally. I can’t thank Dr MacDonald enough for supporting me through this - the EDMR flash therapy and counselling sessions really helped me. Thanks again. Please keep this service going, you are doing an amazing job and it is such a vital service.

Dear Happiermummy

Thank you for taking the time to give feedback on the service you received from the Maternity & Neonatal Psychological Interventions Service.

I was sorry to hear of your difficult birth experience. I am pleased that the MNPI service was supportive to you through the period afterwards and that you are now reporting improvements in your mental wellbeing following EMDR and counselling. I will pass on your lovely feedback to the MNPI team.

Wishing you and your family all the best,

Rachel
