I was an apprehensive patient given that I hadn’t been an inpatient for decades. However, from Alison, the pre-op assessment nurse right through to 3C ward staff, I cannot stop telling people how supportive, professional and thorough they all were.
The star of the show was Mr Elbana, the orthopaedic surgeon. I knew I was in good hands and he took great pride in his work.
My message to any patients who are nervous about surgery is that you are in very good hands with the Raigmore staff. I’ve heard great experiences from people treated at the National Treatment Centre, but I could find no fault whatsoever with Raigmore.
Even the food was perfectly good!
