"Nurses were great but let down by support network"

About: University Hospital Wishaw / Outpatients

(as a friend),

Van drivers at Wishaw driving like maniacs, ignoring zebra crossings, sitting blocking the roads on their mobile phones while they should be collecting waste. I saw areas of the hospital that were filthy, it’s  a disgrace, surely there is something they can be doing to improve this. I saw rats running about at the car park at rear of the hospital near a nursery and staff members feeding seagulls next to the waste yard. Would rather sit in my house and suffer than come back to this place. Nurses were great but let down by support network, some porters seemed to be too busy hiding in waste yard smoking rather than working.

Dear robinkt96,

Thank you for sharing your experience of University Hospital Wishaw, Outpatients.

I am sorry to hear of the problems you faced on site before you even arrived at your appointment. I have shared your comments about the van drivers, roads and the cleanliness of the site as a whole with the contracts manager for review and learning.

I am glad that you found the nurses at your appointment to be good and helpful.

Best Wishes,

Jenni
