"I think it is a vital service"

After feeling unwell for several days I discovered I have cellulitis on my left leg. Due to other health complications I was unable to get to a GP so the doctor made a house call and recommended me to the Hospital at Home Service based in Fermanagh.

Within an hour a team of doctors and nurses where at my home. They provided a provisional, kind and compassionate service. They immediately put my mind at ease about my condition. They were open and forthright about my treatment options, took bloods and gave me intravenous antibiotics. They also managed to get me a quick ultrasound and x-ray at the hospital. Thanks to their quick and urgent care I did not have to unnecessarily go in to hospital.

I  cannot say enough good things about this service or the doctors and nurses on the Hospital at Home service team, I think it is a vital service especially at a time when the NHS has bed shortages. Thanks to them I'm continuing to be treated in my home, which I believe aids in my recovery and let's me get over my illness faster.
