"Helpful, caring, and wonderful people in A&E"

About: University Hospital Wishaw / Emergency Department

(as the patient),

The entire Wishaw A&E staff are amazing.

Josh really helped me to understand what is going on with my health and talked me through everything in a way that was clear for me with my autism in mind to stop me from overthinking and worrying more.

The nurse who did my bloods was kind and understanding. The reception staff were kind and understanding of my needs.

They had to all deal with some violent and scary people who were in, tonight, and they all deserve recognition for keeping everyone safe and well.

Dear Sp00kyDuck,

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience with us. Your thoughtful message means a great deal to our team here at Wishaw ED.

I am especially pleased to hear that Josh was able to support you in a way that respected your needs and helped ease your worries. It’s also wonderful to know that our nursing and reception staff made you feel understood and cared for — that’s exactly the kind of environment we strive to create for every patient.

Your recognition of the team’s efforts during a challenging shift is deeply appreciated. They work hard to ensure everyone’s safety and wellbeing, and your words will be shared with them — I know it will mean a lot.

Best wishes,

Julie.
