"The program was absolutely vital for my recovery"

About: Lagan Valley Hospital / Cardiac Rehab

(as the patient),

After having a triple heart bypass in April 2025, I attended a Cardiac Rehabilitation Clinic in May 2025 through the Lagan Valley Hospital in Lisburn for eight weeks. I would like to thank Nurses Luna and Alana and all the team for the help over the eight weeks. The rehab team went above and beyond their duty, nothing was a problem to them.

The program was absolutely vital for my recovery in how to exercise and what type of diet would be beneficial for me going forward. Over the eight weeks I was shown how to do CPR, A dietitian attended to give advice on eating healthy foods and a pharmacist on taking your medication correctly.

I want to personally thank Luna for helping me through health issues, I was having angina symptoms after 10 weeks post operation, this is now in the process of getting sorted because of the cardiac Rehabilitation Clinic.

I would encourage everyone who is offered to go on cardiac rehabilitation to do so, it's vital for your health journey and will be beneficial.
