"Breastfeeding difficulties"

About: Dr Gray's Hospital / Maternity care

(as a service user),

When my baby was born she was having a really difficult time latching and it had a huge impact on my mental and physical wellbeing. I really wanted to breastfeed but felt as the days went on it was less and less likely to happen.

I contacted Amanda at DGH and she got back to me almost immediately, and saw us the same day, she kept in touch and checked in on our progress until me and my baby developed our breastfeeding skill. She provided me with the tools and knowledge for success and was incredibly comforting and reassuring.

My baby is now 7 months old and is still breastfeeding, all thanks to Amanda, who saved our journey.

Dear leathermc38,

It's incredibly heartwarming to hear your story, thank you for sharing it here.

I'm delighted that you received a prompt and comprehensive level of support from Amanda and were able to achieve your breastfeeding journey. I will share your kind words with Amanda and I'm sure she'll be equally happy to know that you felt so reassured.

Best regards to you and your baby,

Louise
