"I left feeling very secure with my treatment plan"

About: Queen Margaret Hospital / Cardiology

(as the patient),

I recently had my first cardiology appointment with Dr Anwar, and I was greatly impressed.

He asked about my newly diagnosed AF and took a proper history before showing me the ultrasound of my heart.

Then he fully explained all about AF in detail, along with providing a detailed plan of treatment.

Despite him knowing I was a nurse, he treated me the same as anyone else, and spoke in layman’s terms, which was hugely appreciated (since I have never worked in Cardiology).

In addition to that, he took his time and I never once felt like he was in a hurry to get to the next patient. He took the time to answer both my wife’s and my questions, and was realistic in what might happen in the future with potential treatments.

I left feeling very secure with my treatment plan and secure with the knowledge that my clinician is hugely patient focused, knowledgeable and very capable.

Huge thanks for everything
