"Very good"

About: Victoria Hospital / Endoscopy

(as the patient),

I had Bowel Cancer 15 years ago and had a Colonoscopy and Endoscopy at the time.

Recently, I had an Endoscopy and it was the first time I had a camera down my throat.

The previous ones were fairly okay, but this latest one was a wee bit frightening. The spray that they give you in the throat gives you a feeling of not being able to breathe.

The 4 girls that did the procedure were brilliant. They were very good at their job. One of them held my hand, and one held my back and the girl that worked the camera was very good as well.

They were all very good.

Dear antlianb54,

My name is Katie Black, I am the senior charge nurse in the Day Intervention Unit. Thank you for taking the time to feed back to us about your experience in the unit. We are sorry to hear that you found the procedure a bit frightening and yes, the throat spray can be a strange experience. We are glad you were able to get through the procedure with the care and support from the nurses looking after you. I will share your feedback with them, we hope you are well at home, thanks again, Katie
