About: Community Services / Orthopaedic Choice Hythe Hospital / Pain Management Lymington New Forest Hospital

(as a service user),

September 2024 I first had pain in my right foot /ankle. I do a lot of walking and so I found that difficult. Taking pain relief tablets and Volterol rub helped.

I had an injection at Hythe clinic after Dr referral, then a guided steroid injection at Lymington Hospital. I did gain relief for 6 weeks, then more pain.

I have a great deal of pain at the moment limiting social contact with my walking groups. I have bought shoes for the condition as well as orthotics and exercises.

Can't wait for shock treatment starting in October. I have had referrals which I am grateful for but it's time to get action and I am running out of time now.

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback. I am sorry you have not found the relief we would hope for from the previous treatments. Hopefully, the shockwave treatment and rehab work will be more effective for you.
