My peer support partner helped me navigate breastfeeding after the birth of my first child. I was very unwell and going through recovery from sepsis and recurring infections but the contact, helpful advice and supportive messages kept me going and feeling supported. It was very important to me to try and breastfeed and I believe this vital service was one of the main reasons I was able to do so, making it up to my daughter's first birthday. I am so thankful my health visitor signed me up for it
