Roughly three years ago I was diagnosed as being in Heart Failure and was referred by my G.P.to Cardiology at Hairmyres Hospital, East Kilbride.

Having lost many good friends through Heart Failure I assumed I had a short time to live. In a very short time I was seen by Dr. MacDougal (Cardiologist) and was referred to his team of Nurse Specialists. I was given four new drugs to take and given hope for successful treatment. The service from all of the team was second to none and I was made to feel important to them. I was seen regularly and closely monitored which was very reassuring.
