"Parathyroid Surgery"

About: Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital (Wonford) / Day surgery

(as the patient),

I was referred to an endocrinologist following results/symptoms picked upon bloods tests.

This triggered a series of scans, investigations resulting in a diagnosis and operation today.

I would like to express my gratitude and knowledge of something I had no previous knowledge of.

Special thanks to Vicky on Knapp ward, completely put me at ease and I felt so safe in her hands.

Michael in theatre recovery, as I got a last minute operation was a shock to wake up, didn’t have that long to think about it.

The combo of consultant/surgeon you really know your stuff. Brookes/Smith. Looking forward to feeling better.

I know it’s an electronic thing but I find MyChart brilliant for keeping you up to date and was able to easily send messages.
