"Put everyone at ease"

About: Glasgow Royal Infirmary / Plastic Surgery & Burns (wards 45, 47, 48 & 49)

(as a relative),

Everyone we met was very helpful particularly because we turned up late and in the wrong place initially.

Once we arrived in plastic surgery outpatients, everyone was very understanding, and the nurse practitioner took the time to explain things to my Dad, who lives with dementia, and put everyone at ease about the procedure. Post care instructions were very clear.

Must say that Marie (I think that's her name) was an absolute star keeping me and my Mum right who were a bit frazzled by the time we got there!

Dear Fionnghal

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience on Care Opinion.

We’re really glad to hear that, despite a stressful start, you and your family were met with kindness, patience, and clear communication from the team in the Plastic Surgery Outpatients department. It’s completely understandable to feel a bit frazzled in those situations, and we’re so pleased that our staff were able to help put everyone at ease — especially your dad.

A special thank you for your kind words about Marie — we’ll make sure she sees your lovely message. It means a great deal to our teams when their care and compassion are recognised.

Wishing your dad all the best in his recovery, and thank you again for your thoughtful feedback.

Kind regards

Kevin
