"Honestly it was a first class treatment and experience"

About: Sexual Health Services - South Staffordshire (Open Clinic)

(as the patient),

I was told to go to the sexual health clinic as my general GP surgery could not help me solve a problem pain in my groin and testicle area. They would not want to believe that I was not currently sexually active and they refused to treat further and said I should go to the sexual health clinic.

I then called in the Callcenter and was pleasantly surprised by the friendless of the call agent. She was very helpful and helped me to find the nearest clinic which was the Branston Clinic in Burton.

Upon arrival I was first sent to a nurse Luke who immediately asked me some questions and said based on my answers I am extremely low risk for an STI and immediately got me an appointment with one of the Drs at the clinic. Luke was extremely kind, helpful and knowledgeable.

I then promptly saw Dr Gardi who was an absolute gentleman and a highly skilled Dr. He then proceeded to ask me questions, did a physical examination and prescribed me a course of antibiotics for a infected cyst on my testicle. He then also ran a full screen of tests to rule out STI's and other diseases. Lastly he scheduled a follow up appointment to see how I was getting on. Two weeks on I went back, the results had all come back clear and had another physical examination and the pain and inflammation has dramatically gone done. This awesome Dr helped me where my registered surgery could not. The Drs and staff are extremely kind, non judgemental and take you at your word. Honestly it was a first class treatment and experience.

Hi Eaglewj64,

My name is Andrew and I am a Senior Administrator for the Open Clinic and part of my role is to respond to Care Opinion feedback. I would firstly like to thank you for taking the time to submit your feedback which does mean a lot to our team and is an important contribution to learning and service improvement.

I have shared your story with Dr Gardi and Luke and they will be glad that they were able to help you where your own GP couldn't.

Luke will be happy that you found him kind, helpful and knowledgeable and Dr Gardi will be pleased that he was non judgemental and extremely kind. 😊

Kind regards,
