"Birth of my son"

About: Maternity Care Services / Labour Ward Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh at Little France / Lothian Birth Centre

(as the patient),

I recently attended the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh. It was an extremely quick labour. I was rushed up to the labour ward and I was well cared for - in particular I am grateful for the clinical care and support provided by Fiona, midwife, and Daniel, obstetrics doctor. I felt reassured by my partner with them by our side and I am healthy as is my son and that is all I can ask for.  I was also lucky the department was quiet and  able to get a large room in the birthing suite after the delivery and until discharged the following day. Overall it was a very positive experience and I hope you can pass on my appreciation to the other team members.

Dear Ellyn123.

Congratulations on the birth of your lovely baby boy, well done.

I trust all is well and thanks for letting us know of this wonderful experience especially at such a busy and exciting time.

I am ever so glad the experience was positive and that you felt so well supported by all the staff -( midwifery and medical ) and that the environment was also pleasing.

I will send onwards to the teams.

All the best for the future for you and your new family.

KR
