"Amazing care during my 2 month stay"

About: Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh at Little France / General Surgery Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh at Little France / High Dependency Unit & Intensive Care Unit Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh at Little France / Theatres and Recovery

(as the patient),

I was blue lighted from St johns due to having suffering a ruptured oesophagus was operated on and the op was successful.

I had 8 days in ward 118 ITU then stepped down to ward 107 and all I can say if it wasn't for the amazing staff I would not be in the position that I'm in now.

A massive thank you to Mr Deans and his team and all the nurses who put up with me in the 2 months I was in. They all made it as nice a stay as I could be and again I could not be more grateful..  Thank You 🙏

Thank you for taking the time to share you experience. I am pleased to hear that the ward team and Mr Deans helped your recovery whilst in ward 107, I sounds like you had a difficult journey whilst in hospital but its great to hear after a 2month stay you are now recovering at home. I will make sure this feedback is shared with Mr Deans and the team I will include 118 also.

Best Wishes

Kim Newton
