My partner was at PRI today for a scope. They had a fantastic experience with all of the staff and wanted to leave specific high compliments for Nurse Brian (who was amazing, reassuring and good humoured too) and Dr Kemp who did the scope was really lovely and reassuring during the procedure.

A small note of feedback, in the endoscopy suite there is no accessible bathroom for a wheelchair user once you are past the waiting room. As my partner is a wheelchair user they kept having to leave the clinical area to the waiting room in order to use the bathroom. This was particularly difficult due to urgency following bowel prep for the scope and would highly benefit from a larger stall in the clinical area that would allow for a wheelchair.

I am very sorry to hear of the difficulties your partner encountered during their visit. We have two accessible toilets within the department, and I am very sorry that your partner was not asked to await their procedure adjacent to the accessible toilet within the clinical area.

Please be assured that I will highlight to our staff the importance of ensuring Patients are placed appropriately, prioritising their individual needs in relation to accessible facilities.

I was delighted to read your comments regarding the care provided to your partner on the day by the staff and will share your kind words this with them and the wider team.
