I’m writing to express my deepest thanks and appreciation for the exceptional care provided by Ann, Senior Asthma Nurse Specialist, Non-Medical Prescriber at the RHCYP.
Ann has been working closely with my now teenage daughter and myself to find a solution on her difficulty in breathing whilst exercising. This has been a long road for the last 13 years with different things happening to them leading to her stopping breathing. With Ann’s perseverance after my daughter was referred to her we think we have found the answer and await a further consultant confirming this.
Ann has went over and above what any other person dealing with my daughter has and always done what she has said, clearly letting us know what steps and procedures require to be done in a quick and efficient manner as our expected long waiting times were not in the slightest. This relieved a lot of stress off my teenager daughter when she worried enough about her condition.
Ann’s kindness and empathy has been second to none for our family and allowed me not to feel like I was being a paranoid parent like others made me feel.
From the moment we met, Ann showed not only professionalism but genuine compassion, going far beyond what’s expected in her role. Ann’s kindness, attentiveness, and ability to make my daughter truly cared for had a profound impact. In a system under constant pressure, it’s rare and incredibly uplifting to encounter someone who brings such humanity to their work.
I believe wholeheartedly that this individual deserves formal recognition for their outstanding contribution. If there is an internal staff award or recognition scheme, I would like to strongly nominate Ann for it.
Please pass on my sincerest thanks, and I hope this message can help highlight the incredible difference they are making.
Thank you.
