From the receptionist, admin staff, nurses and doctors at Duke Medical Centre [DMC] I have had nothing but support and caring. Everyone is truly amazing and we thank them all.
I hear horrendous stories from my friends saying they can't get an appointment, can't get help from a GP and the staff are awful to them. My friends are amazed that DMC are so easy to contact and so very helpful. Below is just a typical response from the amazing staff at DMC when I contacted them today.
I contacted my practice today as we had been struggling with a heath issue [nothing major but still debilitating] for over two weeks. It was not self limiting as we had hoped so we reached out for help. I filled the online form in [I realise now it should have been one form each - sorry] and within thirty minutes the GP called back.
This practice has always been amazing and today was no exception. Upon hearing how we had tried to manage the heath issue as a family - sadly without improvement - our GP offered both help and assistance. We were listened to, on the day of contact, given advice and prescription [as required] was sent to our respective pharmacies. A huge thank you goes out to all at Duke Medical centre who make this a practice that, in my opinion, should be the gold standard for other practices. Patients are their focus and priority. I travel some distance to be treated by this amazing NHS GP practice.
