After calling NHS24 about severe tooth ache and gum swelling, I was given an appointment at Grampian West End dental practice in Elgin. This was on a Sunday so was very grateful that they were open and could get an immediate appointment.
Upon arrival, the receptionist was very friendly and helpful, paperwork was quick and easy to complete, and I was seen within 10 mins of arriving. The dentist and assistant very both friendly and made me feel welcome and at ease. After an Xray, it was decided that, and I agreed with, the tooth needed to be removed. But due to the swelling from the infection, the anaesthetic didn't reach full numbing effect, and it was still too painful to be removed. I was prescribed some antibiotics for the infection, advised on what pharmacy would be open on a Sunday and told to contact my own dentist on Monday morning.
Although the tooth could not be removed at this time, again I am very grateful for this dental practice to have been open on a Sunday to see me and at such short notice. All staff very helpful and friendly.
