"Still having to fight to be cared for"

About: Kettering General Hospital / Neurology

(as a service user),

I started experiencing unexplained black outs in ate August, at first my fear was a heart attack but ambulance service did not take me in.

It was only when a GP sent me to A&E that I was reviewed, however I continued to have black outs over the following week. I had to attained A&E or medical s-Dec 3 times before a doctor finally said I should be admitted for tests.

I spent 16 nights in hospital waiting for tests and repeating some due to error, the final week I was in was waiting for neurology to review me, when they reviewed and discharged me they stated I must be followed up in 2 weeks.

I called appointments to follow up and was told no referral was completed so they cannot book me in. I have emails, and neurology never pick up the phone, in the mean time I am still blacking out - cannot drive and cannot work. It’s just shocking!
