I underwent day surgery at the Royal Infirmary today and would like to express my deepest appreciation for the outstanding care provided by Nurse Acel. Coming out of general anaesthesia, I felt dazed, very cold, and emotionally vulnerable. From the very beginning, Acel took the time to explain every step clearly, which eased my anxiety and helped me feel safe.
After the procedure, she checked in on me regularly, ensuring I had everything I needed and answering my questions with patience and warmth. Her cultural understanding and genuine kindness created a welcoming environment that went far beyond routine care. It was clear that her person-centred approach is not just part of her job, but a reflection of who she is.
I am truly grateful for her professionalism, empathy, and attentiveness. Acel turned what could have been a stressful experience into one where I felt respected, understood, and cared for.
With sincere thanks!
"What an outstanding level of care"
