(as a service user),

I am a young person with PE's. Today I went for my second vq scan which makes me extremely nervous, but with the staff I has the most calming, relaxing time, I was taken care of perfectly, this team needs more credit!!

I’m unsure of the lovely nurses name I had, but she honestly was the most incredible nurse I’ve ever had, she truly made my day ❤️

We understand that undergoing tests like a VQ scan — especially more than once — can be a very anxious time, particularly for a young person dealing with a serious condition like pulmonary embolisms (PEs). It’s incredibly heartening to hear that the staff were able to make you feel calm, safe, and well cared for during your appointment.

Your kind words about the nurse who supported you — even though you didn’t catch her name — will mean a great deal to the team. We’ll do our best to share your feedback with the department, as it’s important that staff know the positive impact they have on their patients.
